Cadet Uniform

  • Friday, May 26th:

    • Seniors, PGs, FSs: Service Dress (girls may wear skirts or pants) -- Parade Uniform for ALL Cadets for Final Parade

  • Saturday, May 27:

    • Seniors, PSs, FS-Service Dress  (girls may wear skirts or pants)

 

NEXT WEEK: Activity for Underclassmen

TODAY & TOMORROW

TODAY, Uniform is Service Dress for morning and add Parade Gear for the Final Parade

  • NO CLASSES

  • 9:15 am: Seniors report to area in front of the chapel. (All Day Seniors sign in by 8:45 am)

  • 9:15 am: Faculty be in Boggs Chapel in appropriate attire per Ms. Young’s email

  • 9:30 am - 10:30 am: Baccalaureate Service in Boggs Chapel

  • 11:30 am: Class of 2017 Final Luncheon

  • 1:00 pm: All Day Underclassmen must be signed in

  • 1:40 pm: Formation for All Cadets on Front Roadway

  • 2:00 pm: Class of 2017 Final Parade @ Riddick Field (Cadets will form up on Front Roadway)

 

TOMORROW, Saturday, May 27th: Uniform for Graduation is Service

The Finance Office will be open graduation day immediately after the graduation ceremony until 2:00 PM.

  • 7:15 am: Seniors Wake-up

  • 8:00 am: Breakfast

  • Day Seniors must sign in by 8:00 am

  • 9:00 am: Seniors report to sidewalk across from gym for inspection.  (Service Dress)

  • 9:30 am: Faculty need to be in Melton Gym Lobby

  • 10:00 am: Graduation in Melton Gymnasium @ 10:00 am and doors open at 8:00 am

A NOTE ABOUT PARKING FOR GRADUATION DAY--SATURDAY, 5/27!

RE:  Important announcement about Parking – from General Wesley:

Dear R-MA Parents:

Please plan to park on the practice football field on Graduation day, unless you need Handicap Parking.  Shuttle buses will run continuously from the field to Melton Gym and back to the field after the ceremony.  

You can access the field by using the lower Main Street entrance gate, the Middle School/Kendrick Lane gate (preferred), or Academy Drive.  

Handicap parking is located on the South side of Melton Gym and in the Day Student parking lot near Boggs Chapel.  

Reserved Parking (for Distinguished Visitors only) will be located in the parking lot between Melton Gym and Sonner-Payne Hall.

Parking Assistants will be on hand to direct you.  Thank you for your cooperation!

Faculty and Staff:

Please be reminded that the parking lot between Melton Gym and Sonner-Payne will be reserved on Saturday morning for Distinguished Visitors.  Please do not leave your vehicle overnight on Friday evening.  Thank you.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Faculty/Staff: Please note Ms Vaughn’s email in reference to parking rules beginning Thursday afternoon.  

  • The bookstore will be closed on graduation day. All seniors will need to return books for credit by Friday, May 26th by 2:00 PM. Any books returned after 2:00 PM on Friday will not be issued any credit.

  • Reminder to International Seniors - You must bring your transfer form to me ASAP so that we can transfer your SEVIS record to your college.  If you have any questions, please come see Mrs. Bennett.  Thank you to all who have already completed the process.  

  • All Underclassmen with an I-20 must be sure to get it signed by Ms. Cole or Mrs. Bennett this week.

 

Underclassmen Final Week/Exam Schedule (Monday, 5/29 -Thursday, 6/1)

(Please note that afternoon exams begin at 1:00 pm)

 

  • All morning exams meet from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

  • All afternoon exams during Underclassmen Week meet from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

  • Students must remain in the exam for at least 1 and ½ hours before asking to be released.  

  • Students may be exempted from the semester exam if they earned an A for Quarters 1-3, 1st Sem and currently have an A average at this time.  

 

Monday, 5/29: Uniform is Activity

  • 8:00 am: Breakfast

  • Day students need to sign in no later than 8:45 am

  • 9:00 am - 11:00 am: Exam 1 (Period 7 class)

  • 11:45 am - 12:30 pm: Lunch

  • 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Exam 2 (Period 6 class)

 

Tuesday, 5/30: Uniform is Activity

  • 8:00 am: Breakfast

  • Day students need to sign in no later than 8:45 am

  • 9:00 am - 11:00 am: Exam 3 (Period 5 class)

  • 11:45 am - 12:30 pm: Lunch

  • 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Exam 4 (Period 4 class)

 

Wednesday, 5/31: Uniform is Activity

  • 8:00 am: Breakfast

  • Day students need to sign in no later than 8:45 am

  • 9:00 am - 11:00 am: Exam 5 (Period 3 class)

  • 11:45 am - 12:30 pm: Lunch

  • 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Exam 6 (Period 2 class)

 

Thursday, 6/1: Uniform is Activity

  • 8:00 am: Breakfast

  • Day students need to sign in no later than 8:45 am

  • 9:00 am - 11:00 am: Exam 7 (Period 1 class)

  • 11:45 am - 12:30 pm     Lunch

 

FACULTY NOTE: GRADES ARE DUE TO BE POST READY BY COB ON FRIDAY, JUNE 2ND.  YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE 4TH QUARTER, 2ND SEMESTER EXAM, & 2ND SEMESTER GRADING COLUMNS MARKED POST READY (READY FOR REGISTRAR).  PLEASE BE SURE TO MARK ALL 3 COLUMNS.
